Typically, we all tend to get a bit stressed out when it comes to selecting a paint color. We may go to the store and bring home hundreds of paint chips to look at. Or, we may paint a wall with a sample or two of paint. But for some of us, this process is still very hard to visualize the entire room or house exterior painted a certain color.

With all the advances in technology today, one would think there should be a way to paint your house virtually. A way to view your home in different colors, before painting. Guess what? There is! There are actually quite a few free apps and web tools available to help those of us who have a hard time selecting colors using the traditional system.
Sherwin Williams is one paint supplier that has an app called “ColorSnap”. You can either load one of their many photos, or upload a photo of your own. Once loaded, you can select any color you want to “paint” on the picture. This will give you a very good idea of what the color may look like in your room or on the exterior of your home.
Another great app is offered by Behr, and it’s tool is called ColorSmart. With Behr ColorSmart, you can select a number of colors and save them to “My Colors”. Just select the “Visualizer” button. Then you can paint your house virtually and visualize them in a specific setting. For example, you can see what one of your saved colors looks like in a bathroom or a bedroom. You simply click on the color, and then click on the wall in the photo you want to virtually “paint”.
