One of the biggest concerns or questions that I see performing over 200 estimates per year is “What is a good price to paint my home?” A very general guideline for Colorado homes would be for a one story home, anywhere from $1500 to $3,000. For a Two story home, anywhere from $2,700 to as high as $5,000 or more. A couple big things that make up the price is the prep work. This also, in my opinion, would be the most important part of any paint job. Other variables that affect price is how decorative your home is with trim and if you have wood windows. If you have an estimate that is lower, many times the company is cutting corners. Do you think a guy that is getting paid $10 an hour to be up on a ladder thirty feet up in 100 degree weather is going to caulk a crack you would never see, or prime some bare wood that you have never seen on the second story?
